Grave Before Shave Review
If you are a experienced beardsmen, then you have most likely heard of the brand Grave Before Shave. They are an awesome brand, who know how to make good beard care products, including beard oils, balms, butters and conditioners. In this Grave Before Shave Review, I have decided to review an oil, balm, butter and conditioner.
We will look into the Grave Before Shave Ingredients and look at the benefits your beard will gain from their products.Â
Firstly, let's start with the...
Grave Before Shave Beard Oil Review
Grave Before Shave have several scented beard oils but the one I have chosen to look at is the Grave Before Shave Gentlemen's Blend Beard Oil which consists of the scents; Bourbon and SandalWood.
At Beard Beasts we have saying..."You know a product by its ingredients".
And that statement is especially true when it comes to beard products. If the product doesn't consist of oils and ingredients which offer your beard benefits, then it's as useful as a wet paper bag to carry your shopping.Â
So for that reason we always looks at the ingredients when we write a review.Â
Let's take a look at the ingredients used in this product and what benefits your beard will gain.
Grave Before Shave Beard Oil Ingredients
There are several oils that make up this beard oil; which are Tea Tree Oil, Pure Apricot Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, along with some essential oils for the scent.Â
Straight away you can expect a beard oil which provides excellent moisturising benefits.
The Jojoba Oil is excellent at providing your whiskers and skin with much needed hydration and Apricot Oil is well known for helping retain moisture, so you have two oils here that really help compliment each other. Â
That being said...
The real stand-out for me, is that this beard oil is made for people who suffer from common beard-related problems, such as beard itch, dandruff and dryness.Â
The Tea Tree Oil, Vitamin E, Almond oil and Aloe Vera contain very good amounts of anti-inflammatory properties, so if you suffer from soreness or inflammation of the skin beneath your beard, then you can expect these ingredients to help reduce and soothe the area.Â
Who Would Benefit From This Beard Oil
Honestly, IÂ have to say any bearded man would benefit from this beard oil, but especially bearded men who suffer from dry skin under their beard, beard itch and/or dandruff regularly.
Dandruff is a very common problem within the bearded community, the cause is usually due to dryness, which leads to flaking of the skin, which in return can cause some major itchiness.Â
Quite a rollercoaster, this is why beard grooming is so important!
It's safe to say, beard irritations are something you want to avoid at all costs.Â
The good news is that Grave Before Shave Beard Oil can in-fact help prevent these problems.
This is why I believe bearded men who suffer from these problems stand to gain more benefits from this beard oil.Â

Is It Considered Value For Money?Â
Grave Before Shave offer different sizes of their beard oils.
A 1 Ounce beard oil will set you back around $12.50.
Whereas, the 4 ounce bottle will set you back around $26.
So as you can see, the 4 ounce offers you are far better deal.
In terms of value for money, based upon the benefits you get for the price...Absolutely.Â
This beard oil is 100% value for money in my eyes. The Ingredients offer you a real balance in terms of benefits you stand to gain from this beard oil.Â
Conclusion:
It is time to wrap up this Grave Before Shave Beard Oil Review. I recommend this product to any bearded man that suffers from dryness, beard itch and/or dandruff.
I love the ingredients Grave Before Shave have decided to use, especially the Tea Tree Oil and Aloe Vera.
This beard oil really packs a punch of nutrients, anti-inflammatory properties as well as moisturising properties.Â

Grave Before Shave Beard Balm Review
We looked at the ingredients in the beard oil, now it is time to do the same with the Grave Before Shave Beard Balm.Â
What I instantly like is that they have kept pretty much all the same ingredients as their beard oil but added a few more great ingredients to the beard balm recipe.
We have spoke in-depth above about most of these ingredients so I won't go into much detail over them.Â
But what we do know is that these ingredients provide moisture and lock it in, keeping your beard and skin nicely hydrated and they offer excellent anti-inflammatory benefits which is perfect for preventing and combating beard problems, such as dandruff and beard itch along with dryness.Â
The ingredients in their balm are the following;
- Coconut Oil
- Shea Butter
- Beeswax
- Tea Tree Oil
- Pure Apricot Oil
- Jojoba Oil
- Sweet Almond Oil
- Vitamin E
- Aloe Vera
- Essential oils
So as we can see, Grave Before Shave have added Coconut Oil, Shea Butter and Beeswax to their list of awesome ingredients.Â
What I really like is that this beard balm clearly compliments their beard oil.Â
The added beeswax is great to offer a little hold to your beard so that you can add a little style to your facial hair and tame them whiskers.Â
The added Shea Butter and Coconut oil offer you even more hydration benefits to their already impressive ingredients.Â
Shea Butter is a personal favourite ingredient of mine in a beard balm so this balm has already won me over.Â
Shea butter offers your beard and skin so many benefits that it is in-fact one of the best overall ingredients to put on your beard.
Here are the added benefits of Shea butter;
- Moisturises dry beard hairs and dry skin.
- It helps to repair any hair breakage.
- Excellent for softening beard hairs.
- It softens and smooths the hair follicles.
- Helps treat dandruff, eczema and/or dermatitis.
- Helps protect the skin from weather damage.
- Very good at sealing in moisture, keeping your beard hydrated.
So as you can see, Shea Butter is a brilliant ingredient and offers you a lot of benefits.Â
Let's take a quick look at the added benefits of Coconut Oil;
- Help reduce split-ends.
- Protects and provides nourishment to the skin beneath your beard.Â
- Great for healing damaged hair and skin due to antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.
- Provides the hair strands with excellent hydration.Â
So again, even more benefits you stand to gain from this beard balm.Â
Overall, the Grave Before Shave Beard Balm really packs a punch when it comes to moisturising your beard as well as providing your beard and skin with a selection of really great nutrients which will increase the health of your beard and the health of the skin beneath the beard.Â

Now every beard product has a con and Grave Before Shave Beard Balm is no exception. There are many who say that this beard balm isn't the most easiest to melt and apply to the beard.Â
Of course, this opinion differs, some say it melts and applies well and others say the opposite.Â
But this is a negative that gets mentioned the most with this product, so keep it in mind.Â
Who Would Benefit From This Beard Balm
The bearded men who suffer from dryness problems certainly stand to gain the most benefits from this beard balm.Â
I think any bearded man who suffers from beard problems like beard itch and dandruff also stand to gain a lot from this beard balm.Â
Is It Considered Value For Money?Â
A 2 ounce tin will set you back around $13.50, which I would say is value for money. I don't think there is any getting around the amount of benefits this 2 ounce tin of beard balm offers your beard.Â

Can You Use Grave Before Shave Beard Oil And Balm Together?
Absolutely! Beard oils are actually for the skin beneath your beard whereas, beard balms are more for your whiskers.Â
I personally used a beard oil and balm daily.Â
I use my balm throughout the day, to help give my beard a little style and keep my beard tame and then prior to bed I use a beard oil so that my skin can absorb the goodness from the beard oil overnight.Â
Conclusion:Â
It's time to end this Grave Before Shave Beard Balm Review.
All in all, I think this beard balm compliments their beard oil really well.
I like the fact they have added shea butter to the mix in their beard balm.
This balm will offer excellent hydration to your facial hairs and skin.

Grave Before Shave Conditioner Review.
Right, so we have spoke about Grave Before Shave's beard oil and beard balm, it is now time to speak about their beard conditioner.Â
There are two types of beard conditioner.
A leave-in conditioner and a wash-out conditioner.Â
Grave Before Shave's conditioner is a wash-out meaning you use it while in the shower.Â
You wash your beard using a beard wash (I hope) and then you apply some of this conditioner, leave it for 3 minutes then wash it out again.Â
Now personally I am not a great fan of wash-out conditioners. I prefer to use a beard balm that acts like a leave-in conditioner, that is just my personal preference. Â
But we are all different and some of you like to use a wash-out conditioner which is totally fine.Â
The whole point of a beard conditioner is to supply the beard hairs and skin with hydration, which is exactly what Grave Before Shave claim there beard conditioner does.Â
They use a gentle formula so that their conditioner doesn't strip your beard hairs and the skin beneath your beard of there natural oils which are very important.Â
This beard conditioner also claims that it in-facts help to remove dirt from your beard, which isn't usual with a beard conditioner but if it works then it's great.Â
They have enriched their beard conditioner with Argan Oil which explains where the hydration this conditioner offers comes from.Â
Argan oil is one of the most used oils in the beard grooming industry and with good reason.Â
Argan oil contains excellent moisturising properties and it also thanks to it's natural squalene and vitamin EÂ properties helps to treat and prevent beard itch and dandruff as well as ingrown hairs.Â
The fact this conditioner is enriched with Argan oil also tells me that you will notice your beard hairs feeling softer after using this product.Â
Would I say this Grave Before Shave Beard Conditioner is value for money?
Honestly, I would say I am not as convinced as much as I am with their beard oil and beard balm but you do get 6 fluid ounces for $12.95.
If you would like to try this beard conditioner for yourself, you can by pressing the button just below here. Â
Conclusion Of Grave Before Shave Review:Â
This brings us to the end of our Grave Before Shave Review. I hope I have offered you a lot of value when it comes to Grave Before Shave's products. I think there beard oils and beard balms are excellent and offer so many great benefits.Â
